Fourth of July Run

Happy Fourth of July!

Yes, just a little bit of a crazy cycling fan. Ron was out the door at 4:30 am to beat the heat for a few hours anyway, with work out at the ranch. I was up and at em soon after trying to get my own ranch chores done in order to race home and catch a bit of the Tour de France before running off to see the Team run on this soon to be sweltering sweaty Sacramento summer day. Yet a day just perfect for a low key neighborhood Fourth of July 5 mile race

Held annually and known as Sacramento's oldest running event, runners around the city line up in the lovely River Park neighborhood to begin the days festivites by running. No chips, no bibs, just runners who love to run.

Runners and friends I just think the world of - Rich Hanna, Deborah Meltvedt
and Rick Kushman

It was great to see our Team out there on this cooker of a blazing hot morning and then it was back home for another quick glance at the tour before off and running again.
So here I sit late into the evening, finally getting to watch the finish and see with my own two eyes the winning of today's yellow jersey by an American, Tyler Ferrar.
Perfect way to end the day. Up in about 6 hours to do it all again.
Happy running, happy cycling, happy Fourth of July.
